Your shelf is finite. Your catalog isn't. When a customer wants a book you don't have on hand, your staff says the magic words: we can get that for you. Special orders bring that to your website — so you never lose a sale just because a title wasn't in stock.
How it works
Alongside the books on your shelves, your store can offer millions of special-order titles from Ingram's catalog — covers, descriptions, and all — and fulfill them straight from your Ingram warehouse.
- Search any title. If it's not on your shelf, you can still offer it from Ingram's catalog.
- List it with complete data. Special-order titles carry Ingram's rich metadata — descriptions, subjects, and cover images — so the listing looks as good as your in-stock books.
- Fulfill from Ingram. When a customer orders a special-order title, you fulfill it from your Ingram warehouse.

Order-file import
Already ordered from Ingram or Edelweiss? Import the order file and those titles come in ready to sell — Bookhead reads each ISBN, enriches it, and adds it to your catalog. See Managing your inventory for how importing works.
