Integrations

Bookhead connects your bookstore system to multiple sales channels. Here's what we integrate with and how each one works.

Bookstore systems

Booklog

Booklog is a management system designed specifically for independent bookstores.

Sync methodAutomatic FTP
FrequencyEvery 30 minutes
SetupContact [email protected]

Booklog automatically exports your full inventory to Bookhead's FTP server. When books are added, sold, or updated in Booklog, the changes sync to Bookhead and then to your sales channels.

IBID

IBID is a management system for independent bookstores.

Sync methodAutomatic FTP
FrequencyEvery hour
SetupContact [email protected]

IBID automatically exports your inventory to Bookhead's FTP server on an hourly schedule.

iMRCHNT

iMRCHNT is a management system for independent bookstores.

Sync methodAutomatic FTP
FrequencyEvery hour
SetupContact [email protected]

iMRCHNT automatically exports your inventory to Bookhead's FTP server on an hourly schedule.

Basil

Basil is an inventory management system for bookstores.

Sync methodManual file upload
FrequencyOn demand
SetupSelf-service via admin

Basil doesn't support automatic exports, so you'll need to:

  1. Export your inventory from Basil as a CSV file
  2. Upload it to Bookhead via the admin interface

We recommend uploading at least once a week, or whenever you have significant inventory changes.

Other bookstore systems

Don't see your bookstore system listed? Email [email protected]. We can often add support for new systems within a few days of receiving sample data.

In-store sales systems

Square

Square is an in-store sales system used at the counter. Bookhead connects to Square as an inventory source — reading what you carry in the shop, enriching each book, and keeping your online store in sync.

Sales channels

Bookhead lists your inventory on a range of online sales channels and keeps each one in sync with your inventory source. Each channel has its own setup and behavior — see the dedicated documentation for the channel you want to sell on:

  • Shopify — full product sync, including collections
  • Squarespace — full product sync with inventory updates
  • eBay — marketplace listings
  • Biblio — marketplace for used and rare books
  • Alibris — marketplace for used, rare, and out-of-print books

For a quick overview, see Selling on channels. Don't see the channel you want? Email [email protected].
